Lately I've been seriously rethinking my doll plans, and what I want to do in regards to keeping dolls of my characters.

I've decided that I'm only going to keep the dolls that mean a lot to me - Amel and Manatee - and in the future, only get the dolls of the characters from my main storylines - meaning Hannelore, Leonti, Kestrel, etc etc etc.
I've kind of fallen out of love with girl dolls, so I'm seriously reconsidering getting Akina again.
(Though I still need a loli to spoil, so I'll probably end up getting Izumi eventually. D: )

Ever admired the work of artist Mijn Schate? Well, don't. She is nothing more than a liar and a thief, and is making a pretty tidy little chunk of change while being lazy and dishonest. (As in - $1000 per print sold, a deal with a company that makes iPod skins/cases with her art, and a clothing deal).

Doll companies and various owners have already been contacted to alert them to the fact that she's been stealing their photos - already three companies have said that she hasn't asked permission to use their photos.

I find it amazing that there are so many truly talented artists out there, undiscovered, and a lying thief whose true talent lies in Photoshop can make thousands upon thousands of dollars by stealing pictures and doing next to nothing at all.

• After being boxed since November and at gabriel's place in Singapore since December~January, my gorgeous boy is finally winging his way home to me. Expect lots of picspam of the bugger when he finally gets home - I've missed him so much.

On an entirely different note - I'm still not hired, so something other than Ragnarok Online needs to occupy my time. Therefore:

• Mum and I (finally!) have a steady sewing space set up in our workspace out in the garage, so I'm going to try and start making doll outfits. Provided anyone actually reads this pathetic little LJ, what sort of things would you like to see? Leave a comment, it'd help a lot ;~; (personally I'm dying to make some sharp blazers and tailored pants for boys - kind of like the sleek classy rocker look. Or should I just stick with what sells and glue lace onto everything? /sobsob)
• I'm hella bored and itching to write lately, and even though we make plans to RP, current RP partner and I usually end up on RO :| So I guess......if you'd like to RP, shoot me an IM - I've got characters for all settings and situations. which really just means that life, i has none.

• No, I probably won't be bringing any of my dolls with me. They're all in various forms of neglect right now (except Manatee, because he's with loosesocks half the time e_e)
• I'm mostly going for the GIRUGAMESH concert on Friday and the music interviews/panels scattered around the weekend, because somehow I found a writing gig with Kanzen Ni J-rock and I need to actually contribute something instead of sitting on my fat ass and playing Ragnarok. We're arriving on Thursday and we'll probably be free for most of the weekend
• gabriel (faceup artist) probably hates my indecisive guts, as she's done a gorgeous heart-stopping job on Amel's faceup, but....this is the second time I've asked her to change the lips. I feel really, really bad for making her jump through all these hoops on this commission,  but the bastard's not coming home until he's perfect.
• I really need a cup of coffee.

So, what's new?

1. What is your biggest accomplishment to date?

This is kind of tough. Personally I feel like I really haven't accomplished anything - I don't have a job and I'm not in University; I'm not a published writer, and I'm not competitive at all so no awards or medals or anything of that nature. I guess the thing I'm proudest of is having a single poem featured in one of those school poetry contest books, but it's one of about a thousand other poems from other writers. So it's kind of a cheap accomplishment.

2. What do you do for a living/wish to do as a dream job?

There's a bunch of stuff that I want to do; which is why I can't decide. On my list of potential career options is:
Marine Biologist (a bit more attainable than being a dolphin trainer)
Writer
Historian
Archaeologist/Anthropologist
Cafe Owner/pastry chef/chocolatier
I'd also really like to pursue something in the medical field but I'm really not that smart :/

3. What is your favorite snack food?

It really depends on what I'm craving at the moment.

4. How did you get into dolls?

A combination of being into Lolita fashion and having a friend (prettydictator) who had an MSD that she let me hold at a local anime conventions. Eventually I got a link to the Volks website and got my Megu in freshman year XD and then I corrupted Momo.

5. How did you find out about LJ, and why did you end up joining?

Way back in the days of account invites, one of my former friends had an account. When free accounts debuted, I wanted a piece of the drama, and it sounded pretty nifty, so I got one. This was......about five(?) years and two accounts ago.

Due to a combination of cat macros and my own idiocy, my desktop computer is out of commission. I've not taken it into the shop yet but I'm calling them in the next few days if my friend's brother isn't able to tell me what's wrong with it/what to do.
And since it never rains but it pours, my wisdom teeth are coming in and I'm in absolute agony.

(sigh.)

Therefore, depending on how much repairs will be if I need them, I'll be selling some wigs and my BTSSB Luna dress :/ I really love that dress but getting my computer fixed and my wisdom teeth pulled are a bit higher priority than frivolous dolly things right now.

So I tried my BPAL out again - very tiny amount on my wrist, not oversniffing the imp, everything in moderation, and so on.

Within ten minutes of putting Ulalume on, I was gagging and running to the bathroom to scrub my wrist.
